GB Kent was founded in 1777 when an ambitious William Kent decided to leave Yorkshire for London to make his fortune crafting ‘superior” brushes. His reputation grew, and by the 1820’ s he was making brushes for George 1V and received a Royal Warrant of Approval confirming that his brushes were indeed quality brushes. Since then Kent has received a total of 9 warrants from consecutive monarchs for services to supply hair, and personal care brushes to the Royal Household.
